English Sterling & Cut Crystal or Glass
Top Scent or Perfume Bottle
The sterling hinged lid looks like a crown
Clear Glass (the images seem to show a brown or yellowish color, which is misleading)
Possibly Edwardian or even Georgian but the hallmark is not legible to us; we think we can make out the King George tax mark...
Please Help ~
please help identify the maker or the pattern as well as any other information you can provide...
Details:
The glass is clearer than the pictures indicate
Hexagon (6-sided) foot
Hexagon (6-sided) neck
(6) framed ovals on each side of the body's bowl
(6) surface ovals on the underside of the body's bowl
Lid fully opens
Could use a cleaning on the inside of the perfume
There may have been a glass stopper at one time (if so, it is missing)
Size approximately:
4 1/2" tall closed
3 3/48" tall open
Hexagon (6-sided)
Neck is about 1/2" across
Body is about 1 3/4" across
Foot is also a hexagon (6-sided) 1" to 1 1/8" across
Sterling top is in the shape of a crown and is 1 5/16" tall by 11/16" and 9"16" across
Condition:
Excellent condition for the age ~ there is no damage to the glass but the sterling top has a small rough spot...
