UP TO Four (4) cars (including initial car) per package. (Second Chance Railroad reserves the right to make exceptions to this shipping policy). We recycle boxes and packing material when possible.
Hightest Shipping for the initial car with the shipping box
50% off for the second car
Additional 50% off for each additional car up to a total of 4 cars per box
If the car comes with a box please add 1.00 since the box takes up more space and I have to use a bigger box
ELIGIBILITY:
Not all cars are eligible for combined shipping due to their weight or fragility IE:
Engines with or without tenders are not eligible. Train Sets are not eligible.
PAYMENT TERMS:
You have up to seven days (one week) from your first bid ending or a total of 12 cars (whichever comes first) before payment for total is due. Payment is expected by the next business day. If you are requesting combined shipping please wait for invoice as once payment is made we will be unable to combine shipping.
SHIPPING OPTIONS
LOCALPICK UP
:
Local pick up is available but all payments must be made through Ebay and payment cleared. There is a .00 handling charge per car (engines with or without tenders is .00 and train sets are .00) also made through ebay as the total charge. Please notify us if you wish local pick up. Invoice will reflect the handling charge in the shipping section of the invoice. Items cannot be held for more than 5 business days. Items are available for pick-up M-F between 9a-3p. Please email for appointment. Items are prepared for delivery and transportation.
OTHERMAILING METHODS
If you have a special shipping request, UPS, Priority mail, etc, please request quote before submitting payment. Otherwise Second Chance Railroad reserves the right to use the most economical method of shipping on any given day.
WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY ITEM
Upon receipt of your payment, your package will be shipped NLT noon within one business day (usually by noon the following business day). Those paying with electronic checks through ebay, your items will ship upon your check being cleared and 2ndchance railroad being notified of its clearance as per our shipping policy. Delivery is by USPS Standard Post unless otherwise specified and takes 6-10 days depending up local.

NTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
International buyers please ask for shipping quote before bidding. You will be charged the actual shipping (including insurance on the value of the package) cost plus a .00 customs form fee (.00 for the short form if under 2 pounds) and .00 handling fee along with international Priority shipping and combined shipping is NOT available for overseas orders.
All Train cars (engines with or without tenders are valued at actual replacement costs) will be valued at0.00 or the actual cost of the train car to replace, whichever is lower. You are responsible for any additional taxes, fees, or duty charges your country may impose on imported goods. These additional fees are NOT included in your shipping cost. US Federal law prohibits the undervaluing of items sold to overseas markets.
ABOUT US
Second Chance Railroad was born when railroad rolling stock began to overflow the area designed for the S.R.&T.D. R.R (Slightly Rusty and Tad Dusty Rail Road) G Scale Layout located in Plainfield, IL. In January of 2014 the S.R.& T.D. R.R. relocated to its new roundhouse in St. Joseph MO.
Duplicate cars were auctioned off to make room for newer and unique equipment. As time went on, it became apparent that there was a market for NEW and USED equipment from estate sales, shuttered hobby stores, defunct railroads, changing collecting habits and of course the S.R&T.D R.R It has been the desire of Second Chance Railroad to find new homes for retired, neglected, and reparable rolling stock, and we thank you for allowing us to do so.
